Added conclusion to the Shaman Dream
We are back! And we are back with the story picking up speed.
I took a bit longer with this update than the previous ones, for several reasons. I will not list all of them here, but the relevant ones are as follows:
- I was starting to lose confidence in being able to conclude the story in a satisfying manner
- I was starting to lose confidence in being able to conclude the story in under 100k words as I set out to do
- I was starting to lose confidence in the story as whole
I spend a long time trying to think of solutions to fix this, and eventually arrived at a conclusion that the best solution would be to bring another writer on board. We had a design meeting with her, where we discussed the routes, the plot twists left in the story, the logistics and forms of variables, and ultimately, what I wanted to say with it.
Now the story will continue to proceed onwards, and I hope it will be satisfactory and will have meant something to someone somewhere in the end. The story probably won't conclude within 100k words, but I do have faith that we will be able to keep it actually pretty damn close to it? So 100k, or slightly above, is where the story will end.
As always, thank you to everyone who has read the story, shared it, or left comments, for your kindness and patience <3 Those who jumped off this story because it is too long - I feel you, and I hope you'll be on board with the next stories that will be either half of STS's length or shorter.
